Awareness on following up.

Posted by Anne Parr on June 9, 2010 at 6:50 AM

This is a test of my continuing steady blogging. I set a goal to blog each day with very little success.

I am noting goal setting is difficult if there is no passion. I have a passion for fitness and do it everyday but am finding I do not have a passion for blogging. I hear from so many people especially young parents how busy June is with many things popping up out of the blue changing up the day. I am not a young mom yet each day something comes up that must be done for example we got sawed last week and it had to be put down and tended to thank goodness for rain otherwise it would have been more time consuming.

For all of you who find goal setting difficult my hats off to you. I encourage you not to give up but take a look at how you may have to do things differently to get started again.  As I said in my last blog awareness is a key.  With that in mind I am recognizing I have no passion for blogging.  I do want to do this never the less so I can success in continuing to share my ideas, facts and fiction on wellness and health to anyone reading.

I am changing my strategy by setting a 1 day at a time goal not going to push to do everyday instead do when I can and go from there.  Review my efforts once a week than move forward.

Todays Topic will be lowering Cholesterol by changing some little habits gradually until they become a regular part of your eating plan.

• Increase your intake of lean foods – fish, skim milk,

• Lower intake of saturated fats

• Have a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast

• Consume plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables at least 5 servings per day

• A little alcohol can boost HDL levels. Too much alcohol can have the opposite effect.

• Eating dried beans, grapefruits, bran, garlic, onions, apples, wholegrain cereals, soy products, almonds & walnuts all may lower overall cholesterol levels.

LIFE-ENHANCING OIL: Use polyunsaturated fats such as corn oil, sunflower oil for cooking or in salads. Best olive oil or canola oils are higher in monounsaturates: note frying with Olive oil is not recommended best used in salads or at room temperature.
